Noticed my cafe using paper straws now
I stopped by my regular spot and they had paper straws instead of plastic. The owner said it's to help the planet. Are more businesses in your area doing things like this?

Short take: They always get soggy.
Ugh, yes, it's everywhere now. My local burger place and the cinema both made the switch last month. I get the reason, but my drink is half gone before the straw starts to fall apart. Feels like we traded one problem for another, but I guess it's just something to get used to.
