I finally switched from a gas mower to a push reel mower for my lawn in Portland
My old gas mower was loud, smelly, and a pain to start. Last spring, I spent $150 on a simple push reel mower. The first cut took longer, maybe 45 minutes instead of 20. But the grass looked better, and I wasn't breathing fumes. After a month, I realized I wasn't buying gas or oil anymore. My yard waste bin filled up slower because the clippings were finer. It's just a small patch of grass, but it feels like a real change. Has anyone else made a switch like this with their yard work?
