Saw a sign at a Portland food cart pod that said 'No Compost, No Cash' and I can't decide if that's fair
The cart owner told me he's lost $200 in a month because customers toss compostable bowls in the trash. He says if you don't sort your waste, you don't get served. But another vendor told me that's bad for business and people just walk to the next cart. Where do you draw the line between making people do the right thing and making them want to come back?
