My boss chewed me out for running a part backwards until I showed him the print
Was setting up a job on our Haas VF-2 last month and the print clearly showed the datum on the back side, so I flipped the vise. Foreman started yelling until I handed him the paper. Now he double checks everything before opening his mouth. Anybody else have prints that make zero sense until you flip the part?

Man, I had a buddy that got written up for the same thing once.

That's a good point about the foreman, jennifer_mitchell53. What worked for me was taking a photo of the print with my phone and circling the datum before I even started setting up. That way when my supervisor questioned me, I had proof ready without having to argue or interrupt the job. It saved a lot of headaches and made him trust my setups more over time.
