Vent: 2am shift, spindle load spiked, and I caught it with a flashlight

Running a Haas VF-2 overnight in Toledo last Tuesday, cutting some 6061 plate. Everything was humming along fine until I saw spindle load jump from 40% to like 85% for no reason on my screen. I stopped the cycle immediately and popped the door open, found a chunk of aluminum swarf wedged under the tool holder. Pulled it out with long nose pliers, restarted the program, and it ran clean the rest of the night. Anyone else have swarf sneak in during a finish pass and spike their load meter like that?

Isn't it funny how the stuff that causes the most chaos is always the tiniest, most random thing? Like, one little chip of aluminum can turn a smooth night shift into a heart attack moment, but a whole toolbox full of spare parts will sit untouched for months.
