The 8-line CSS fix that made my navbar snap into place after 30 trys
Found out last night that setting overflow-x: hidden on the parent div was the whole issue, not the flexbox mess I was debugging for 4 hours, has anyone else had a one-line property solve a layout nightmare?
Overflow-x hidden is a band-aid though, it just masks the real issue and can bite you later when stuff starts getting cut off weird. I'd rather track down why the parent is overflowing in the first place, even if it takes another hour.
