Warning: a missing semicolon cost me three hours yesterday

Everyone says to just use a linter and you'll be fine, but my editor didn't catch it because of how I'd formatted a long string. I had to walk away and come back with fresh eyes to finally see it. Has anyone else had a tiny syntax error hide in plain sight like that?

My worst was a comma instead of a period in a config file.

Spent three hours once because I used a colon instead of a semicolon. Felt like a real genius that day.
