My barista in Portland said my usual order was 'a bit safe' and it got me thinking

My friend had this happen at a coffee shop in Seattle. The barista asked if she ever tried adding a shot of honey syrup to her plain latte. She said no, it sounded too sweet. Next time she went in, the guy just made it that way on the house. Totally changed her whole order for like a year. Sometimes they just see you stuck in a rut.
