My trip to Istanbul flipped how I see morning coffee

I mean, seeing them take time with each cup in the old city cafes. It got me to slow down and enjoy mine more, idk maybe it's just me.

Watched my buddy make coffee after his Istanbul trip. He got this little copper pot and started heating it over a charcoal fire, real slow. Said the sound of it bubbling up three times was the whole point, not just the drink. Now he sits on his porch for twenty minutes just with that pot, says it resets his whole day.

Tbh that "resets his whole day" part hits different. Meanwhile my morning reset is trying not to spill my instant coffee while I check emails. The idea of actually sitting still for twenty minutes with just a pot sounds like a fantasy. I'd last maybe two before I started worrying about something I forgot to do. Honestly impressed by people who can do that slow stuff.
