Wasted $250 on a fancy grinder that couldn't even handle light roasts

Bought a budget electric burr grinder off Amazon two years ago and it jammed up on every single light roast bean I tried, ended up tossing it after 6 months. Anyone else regret cheaping out on gear and just stick with a hand grinder instead?

Light roasts are harder to grind but $250 is a lot for a jam machine. Sounds like you got a lemon, not a trend.
