DAE hit a number on a hobby that made you stop and go huh?

I was cleaning out my camera bag last week and actually counted my SD cards, 11 of them. Sounds dumb but it hit me that when I got my first digital camera in 2006 I had one 512MB card and thought I was set for life. Now I'm juggling 128GB cards and still deleting stuff at 2am before a shoot. The weird part is my grandpa shot the same family trips on one roll of film and never seemed stressed about it. Does anyone else's gear count sneak up on them like this, or is it just me?
