Rant: Grease pencil vs digital marker for storyboards at my last shoot
Covered a studio gig in Austin last month. Director wanted quick drafts between takes. I brought my tablet, stylus, the whole setup. Took forever to switch layers and zoom in. Meanwhile the AD grabbed a grease pencil and sketched on a printout in 20 seconds. We shot three scenes in the time I did one sketch. I kept the tablet for final boards now. Has anyone else found that old tools just work faster when the clock is ticking?
