Rant: The $15 kitchen scale that fixed my coffee game

I used to eyeball my grounds every morning. Bad moves. Some days bitter, some days weak. Last week I finally grabbed a $15 scale from the Target on Broadway. Weighed out 18 grams instead of scoops. Pulled the same ratio three days straight. Tasted identical each time. My old method was basically gambling with caffeine. Now I get why baristas swear by grams over scoops. Anyone else find a cheap tool that quietly fixed a daily habit?
