The guy at the barber shop in Dayton who called my politics 'interesting' and then explained them to me
I was waiting for a cut last month and this older guy next to me asked who I voted for in the last local election, so I told him. He nodded and then spent 10 minutes explaining what I supposedly believed, and every single thing he described was the opposite of what I actually said. I just sat there nodding because the barber had the clippers going and I didn't want to start a thing over a buzz cut. When he finished he goes 'see, that's why I can't vote for your side' and I'm pretty sure he was agreeing with himself the whole time. Has this happened to anyone else, where someone builds a whole fake version of your view and debates that instead of you?
