inHandyman at the Kroger on 41 told me my shutoff valves were on borrowed time, checked mine and found one that wouldn't close
Did you read that same thing about gate valves being a problem in older homes? I saw a plumber on youtube say the 80s stuff was built cheap and they never get turned so they just freeze up inside. Probably worth swapping the stuck one before it becomes a real mess.

inAirport parking near Denver cost me $480, now I take the train from Aurora every trip
Parked at the Gateway Park lot for years before I finally did the math and realized I was burning like $200 a trip plus shuttle time. Now I just drive to the Peoria station, leave my car there for free, and hop on the A Line. Ten bucks each way and I'm at the terminal in under 40 minutes, no shuttle, no hunting for a spot at 5am. The trick is giving yourself a little buffer, because if you cut it too close and miss your train you're waiting 15 to 30 minutes for the next one. I still drive if it's a super short trip or if I'm flying back late and don't want to deal with the last train timing. But for anything over a few days the train wins every time, the savings alone pay for a nice dinner on the trip.

inFake $5 coupons at the Rochester Hannaford self-checkout
Even the cashiers can't tell sometimes, I watched a guy argue for ten minutes at my local store over a coupon that looked totally real. Meanwhile the self-checkout beeps at me for breathing too loud.
