Dropped $2,800 on a paint job for my '68 Chevelle and it came back worse than it went in
Took my Chevelle to a shop over in Garland back in March because the clear coat was peeling bad on the roof and trunk. Guy quoted me $2,800 and said 3 weeks. Got it back at week 6 with overspray on the chrome bumpers and a run in the driver door so big you can see it from ten feet. He told me runs happen and to "let it cure" before complaining, which is not how paint works. Now I'm out the money plus another $400 having a different shop wet sand it. At this point I figure I should've just wrapped it, has anyone had luck getting a shop to make something like this right or do you just eat it?
