Found a guy at a back issue bin who'd been a dealer since 1976

Last Saturday at a shop in St. Louis I overheard him tell a kid that nobody reads for the story anymore, they just flip for covers and keys. He sold a beat-up Spectre #1 for $40 and said that would've fed his family for a week back in the day. Has anyone else noticed older collectors getting bitter about the grading craze?
