Saw a kid at my LCS go from hunting back issues to ignoring them completely in about 3 months

There's this teenager who started coming to my local shop around October last year. At first he was all about digging through the $1 bins and asking about old runs. Real excited about finding #1s from the 90s. Fast forward to January and he just walks past all that stuff now. Heard him tell the owner back issues are dead weight since he can just read everything on Marvel Unlimited. Made me wonder how many new readers we're losing to digital. Anyone else notice this shift at their shop?

Yeah showing him a raw key got him hooked on hunting again.

Show the kid a raw key issue that's way underpriced compared to the app value.

The 1990 New Mutants 98 raw is a perfect example. You can find a clean copy for like 40 bucks but the app says it's worth 150. It's wild how much of a gap there is between what people actually pay at shows and what the online prices say. Deadpool is still hot and that book is his first appearance, so it's a no brainer for a kid to flip.
