That Wednesday my local shop got a DC variant in by accident
I walked into Cosmic Comics last Wednesday just to grab the new ASM, and the owner had accidentally gotten a case of the DC Comics Direct variant of issue 1. He sold it to me for cover price, $4.99, before he realized the mix up. Has anyone else stumbled into a store error that worked in your favor?

Honestly I read about this kind of thing happening sometimes in the Diamond distribution reports. A shop near me once got a case of Marvel variants mixed in with their DC order and sold them way under market before anyone caught it. That's a solid score getting that DC variant for cover price, those Direct variants usually go for $15-$20 on eBay the first week. Reminds me of a story I heard about a comic shop in Ohio that accidentally got a batch of the Jeff Lemire variant of Gideon Falls and sold them for $3.99 each. Your shop owner probably felt stupid after, but hey that's on the distributor for messing up.
