Dive tender in Galveston told me my bailout bottle was 200 psi short and I blew it off
Was gearing up for a shallow inspection job off a dock in Galveston last month when the tender double checked my bailout and said it read 2800 instead of 3000. I told him it was close enough for 20 feet of water but he just stood there holding the gauge until I topped it off. Turns out a guy on another crew had a reg fail at 30 feet the week before and his spare was low too. Now I check my own bottle twice before every splash. Anybody else got a tender who catches stuff you would have skipped?
