Pro tip: stop trusting your dive computer's battery meter on cold jobs

My Shearwater died at 90 feet off Port Angeles last week after showing 80 percent charge, so now I carry a backup battery pack in my drysuit pocket and check voltage with a multimeter before every morning dive, anyone else had a computer crap out mid-decompression?

Lost my whole dive computer to a flooded housing off the same pier, so now I just leave it on the boat.
