Tried a Kirby Morgan band mask for the first time in 15 years and it felt totally different

I dove with a KM band mask back in the early 2000s and hated how it sat on my face. Last month I had to use one for a job off the coast of Galveston and I swear it felt like a whole different piece of gear. Maybe my head shape changed or they tweaked the fit over the years. Anyone else go back to old gear and find it works way better than you remembered?

That hit on something I notice in life a lot, especially with older tools and gear. It's kind of like breaking in a pair of boots all over again or going back to a car model you haven't driven in a decade, you remember the annoyance but sometimes your body just adjusts or the design gets subtle fixes. I suspect they quietly improved the skirt material over the years, that's the kind of update nobody talks about but you definitely feel on the face.
