Switched from a basic code reader to a proper scan tool and it's like night and day

What did that bi-directional tool run you?

Just swapped from a big backpack to a small sling bag for city hopping

Tried a money clip last year and never looked back. Feels like you're carrying almost nothing, right?

PSA: My old method for chasing a stubborn ground fault involved a lot of swearing and a 1998 Fluke 87, but now I just follow the 'unplug everything and add it back one at a time' logic my 5-year-old uses on the TV.

Honestly, a forgotten shop rag in an avionics bay once had me ready to quit for the day.

Rant: I tried asking a vague question versus a specific one on a forum last week and the results were night and day.

Honestly, that makes total sense. People who know their stuff see a vague question and just scroll past because they don't want to write a whole book. But a specific question shows you've already done some homework, so it's way easier for an expert to jump in with the one piece you're missing. It's like you're respecting their time by not making them guess what you need. The clearer the target, the easier it is for someone to hit it.

People keep saying you need a new electric car to cut emissions

Yeah, and like victor_thompson59 said, that break-even point is wild. My buddy did the math on his old Corolla versus a new EV. The car factory emissions alone were like driving his Corolla for eight years. So he'd have to drive that shiny new thing for almost a decade just to catch up to where he is now. Feels like people are just trading one problem for another to feel better.
