Just learned my walk-in cooler runs 200 bucks a month in electricity alone
I was going over old bills after a slow week and added it up - turns out that beat-up True unit from 2015 is costing me way more than I thought. Has anyone else actually tracked what their old equipment is pulling from the grid?

Are you sure that's not including your lighting or something else on the same circuit?

And I've seen some posts online where people found out their EV charger was pulling from the same line as their lights or garage door opener, @shane_wilson. That's usually the culprit when you see that kind of voltage drop because it's a shared circuit not meant to handle the load. I'd double check the breaker box to make sure the charger is on its own dedicated line before blaming the car or the charger.
