A lady at the food bank in Tulsa told me to stop sorting donations by hand, and she was right
Last Saturday I spent 2 hours sorting canned goods one by one at our church pantry in Tulsa, and a volunteer named Ruth told me to just dump everything on a table and let 3 people work the pile instead. We cleared 40 boxes in 45 minutes, way faster than my usual solo routine. Now I'm wondering what other pantry jobs I'm doing the slow way, so what small change sped things up at your food bank or shelter?
