Ngl, old neighbor in Toledo ran a tool swap every Saturday and nobody shows up anymore
Back in 2019 about 15 of us would trade mowers and ladders in her driveway on 4th street, but now it's just me and one guy with a leaf blower. Do people still do block-level sharing or did Facebook Marketplace kill all of it?

We had the same thing die out in my old hood, what worked was moving it to a Facebook group just for our few blocks and pinning the swap day. Marketplace is fine for selling but it kills the "just show up and borrow" vibe since everything turns into a transaction.
