Unpopular opinion: 200 hours of free rides taught me more than any app ever will
I've been giving free rides to seniors in my neighborhood for 2 years now, and last Tuesday I hit 200 trips with Mrs. Patterson to her dialysis in Boise. The city's new volunteer driver app won't even let you schedule a standing weekly pickup for 3 months out, which is exactly what people actually need. Anyone else tried to use a formal volunteer program and just given up because the system is built for one-off trips?
