My bus route got cut from 3 buses an hour to 1, and now I leave home at 5:40am
Three years ago the 14 up Graham Ave ran every 20 minutes, and if you missed one another was right behind it, but since the spring schedule change it's just one bus an hour and I've been late to work twice this week. A guy at the shelter on Monday said he now walks 25 minutes to the L instead of waiting. Is anyone else's route getting quietly thinned out like this, or is it just the 14?
Same thing on the B41 near me, went from every 15 to every 40 minutes and nobody said a word about it. The MTA calls it "service adjustments" but it's really just cuts they hope nobody notices. One bus an hour isn't a bus route, that's a joke, you can't plan a life around that. The guy walking 25 minutes to the L has the right idea because at least he knows he'll get there. They keep saying ridership is down but maybe ridership is down because nobody wants to stand around for an hour waiting. How are people supposed to get to work on time when the schedule only works if you have no schedule of your own?
