Spent 4 hours troubleshooting a Dell that just needed a BIOS update

Had a Dell Optiplex 3070 come in last week that would boot loop every 10 seconds. Checked RAM, swapped PSU, reseated everything, still no luck. Finally tried a BIOS recovery via USB and it fired right up. Four hours down the drain because I didn't think to check the version first. Anyone else waste time on simple firmware issues?

Four hours for a BIOS flash is rough. Dell's boot loop issues are almost always firmware related in my experience. Always check that before tearing the machine apart.
