Hot take: I stopped finishing edges with a magnesium float in 2019 and switched to a steel trowel after a pour in Tulsa
The mag float kept dragging paste and leaving a gritty lip on my driveway jobs, so now I hit the edge with a broken-in steel trowel right after the bleed water sheens off, and the corners come out glassy with zero touch-up, but I still wonder if anyone here has a better trick for curb faces on a hot day.
