My old foreman in Tulsa told me to stop floating the edges first, and I finally tried it on a 40x60 slab
I ran into my old foreman Ray at a supply yard in Tulsa last month and he asked if I was still working edges before the field. I said yeah, that's how I was taught. He said try doing the field first and pull the edge with the freshest concrete, so I did it on a 40x60 shop slab two weeks ago and the edge finish came out cleaner with way less trowel burn. Anyone else run it that way, or is Ray just messing with me after all these years?
