Pouring a 12x20 slab in Amarillo and the finish started peeling after 3 days
I poured a 12x20 patio slab for a guy in Amarillo on a Tuesday and by Friday the top layer was flaking off in sheets. I used a normal steel trowel finish and the mix was a 3500 psi ready mix, but the wind was blowing about 20 mph and I think I overworked the surface trying to keep up with it drying. Has anybody dealt with a peel like this before, and is it worth trying to grind it down and re-top or do I need to tear the whole thing out?
