Lost $200 on my first craft fair because I forgot the one thing every vendor needs
Did my first craft fair in Tulsa last month after six weeks of making candles in my kitchen. Paid the $75 booth fee, showed up at 7am, set up my table with about 40 candles all nice and neat. Sold almost nothing for three hours while the booth next to me was packed the whole time. Finally the lady next to me asks if I brought a way to take card payments. I only had cash, and a sign that said cash only. Turns out almost nobody carries cash anymore and I watched probably 15 people pick up a candle, look at my little sign, and set it back down. I signed up for a reader on my phone that night in the parking lot. If you sell in person, do not make the same mistake.
