Sold my $15 lamp on OfferUp and the buyer showed up with 4 people and a clipboard
Listed a cheap desk lamp 3 weeks ago on OfferUp for $15 just to clear out the garage. A guy messages me, says he'll come by Friday at 6, super normal stuff. Friday rolls around and a minivan pulls up with 4 adults and one guy holding a clipboard with printed photos of other lamps. They spent 20 minutes comparing my lamp to the pictures and asking if it had ever 'been dropped from a height.' I finally just said it's 15 bucks, take it or leave it, and Clipboard Guy handed me a crumpled $10 and said 'this is what it's worth.' I took the 10 because honestly I just wanted them off my driveway. Is the clipboard thing becoming normal or did I just get a weird one?
