The laser level I laughed at is now the only thing I trust on site

Tbh, I thought those green laser levels were a gimmick for guys who couldn't read a plumb bob. Last week on a job in Tacoma, I had to set up on a slab that was sloped worse than my driveway, and the bob kept swinging like crazy. Out of frustration, I borrowed my foreman's laser unit and leveled the base in about 45 seconds, then it held through two more picks. Honestly, the time it saved me on rechecking points was unreal, and now I'm wondering if I should've bought one years ago. Anyone else switch over from manual leveling and never look back?
