Coffee shop stranger in Columbus made me trash my outline

They read the first page of my draft over my shoulder and said 'your plot is fine but you wrote the ending in paragraph 3.' It hit different because they were right, now I'm rewriting without notes and honestly it flows better. Has anyone else scrapped their whole plan after an offhand comment from someone who was just killing time?
