My brother-in-law's go-to password was 'password123'. Had a long chat about security. Changed my own habits too.

Remember making a super strong password with symbols and capitals once, then completely blanking on it two days later. Had to reset it anyway, which sort of defeated the whole point. Now my system is just three random words I can picture together, like bluecoffeetable. It's way easier to remember for me, and still seems pretty solid.

Well leaks are one thing, but those tricks are usually just phishing.

Disagree that strong passwords are the real fix here. Most hacks happen through leaks or tricks, not guessing. You need different passwords everywhere way more than you need one complicated one.
