My cousin in IT told me to always use a password manager, I thought it was overkill.

He said reusing passwords was the biggest risk for normal people. After my old email got hacked last month from a data breach, I saw he was totally right. Anyone else have a simple tip that seemed silly but saved you?

My bank's two-factor text stopped a fraud attempt last Tuesday.

Used to think turning off Bluetooth when I wasn't using it was just a battery thing. Then I read how some stores track phones with it, and it creeps me out enough that I flip the switch now.

Actually, most stores use Wi-Fi, not Bluetooth, for that kind of tracking.
