Got pickpocketed on the L in Chicago and now I can't decide if a money clip or a front pocket wallet is the move
Two weeks ago some guy bumped into me near the Clark and Division stop and by the time I got home my wallet was gone, still can't believe I didn't feel a thing. Lost $60 cash plus my card and now I'm rethinking my whole setup, my old bifold was fat and sitting in my back pocket basically begging for it. Half of my buddies tell me to just rock a minimal front pocket wallet with a rubber band and keep it simple. The other half swear a money clip in the front pocket is the only way to go since it's slim and harder to grab. What do you guys actually carry in a crowded city, and has anyone here gotten got and changed everything after?
Switched to a front pocket money clip after getting got on the Red Line a few years back and honestly its not as great as people make it sound. The clip itself is slim and all but every time you pull cash out in public you're flashing a wad of bills, which is basically an ad that says rob me. A cheap front pocket wallet with just one card and a couple bills is way more low key, nobody knows what you're pulling out. Also keep the rubber band thing out of your front pocket cause it looks like a roll and thats the first thing a pickpocket scans for. Half your buddies aren't wrong about ditching the bifold, they're just wrong about the clip.
