Rant: I started photographing the same dead Sears wing every week and the light change told the whole story
I have been shooting the same abandoned Sears wing at the Northgate Mall in Chattanooga every Sunday since January, and the difference between my first batch and last week's batch is all about the skylight glass. The haze used to bounce off those dirty panels and wash everything out gray, but after a storm knocked two of them loose in April, the sun cuts straight through now and the dust on the tile floor glows gold. Same empty store, same broken escalator, totally different mood in every frame. Has anyone else tracked a single dead anchor store over a few months instead of just doing one walkthrough?
