PSA: the $5 cracked egg bin at Market Basket is a goldmine in Manchester
I grabbed one of those marked-down egg cartons last week, the ones with a couple of busted shells, and found 11 perfectly good eggs inside for $1.50. Cooked them up for breakfast burritos and no joke, they tasted exactly the same as the $4.29 dozen. Now I check that discount rack every single trip, even if I don't need eggs, just to see what else they hide there. Has anyone else scored something surprisingly fresh from the reduced produce or dairy sections around the state?

That discount rack is where it's at, I hit the one in Nashua every time now. Pro tip though, crack each egg into a separate little bowl first before you cook with them, just in case one's gone bad you don't wreck the whole batch. The dairy markdowns are even better, got a tub of Greek yogurt for a buck last month that was still good for a week.
