Guy at a Home Depot in Boise showed me the clearance endcap trick and I saved $74 on drill bits
So I'm standing in the tool aisle last Saturday looking at a $89 bit set, and this older guy in a paint-stained hoodie walks by and goes "you know those are half off on the endcap by the garden center, right?" I figured he was messing with me. Nope. Walked back there and found the same set marked down to $15 because the box was dented. He said he checks that endcap every single visit because that's where they dump stuff that got returned or banged up. I've been going to that store for years and never once looked there. Ended up grabbing the bits plus a $22 pry bar for $9. Anybody else got a spot in their local store that's basically a hidden clearance zone?
