Hot take: 2-day shipping codes are great, but 4-week price match chase is way more worth it
I found a grill at Home Depot for $380 back in May. Saw it drop to $310 three weeks later on their site. Called customer service, they said they don't price match after 30 days. So I printed the old receipt, bought the same grill at the low price, and returned it with the old receipt. Whole thing took me about 45 minutes on the phone and in store. But the savings was $70, which is way more than any coupon code I've found lately. Is that too shady or is this just how you get real deals now?

Nah that's just being cheap dude. Pay the price or wait for the real deal.

Man that $70 savings is real though, @adam_robinson might call it cheap but I see people doing this kind of stuff everywhere now. I noticed at my local grocery store last week, a guy was literally price matching three different apps at the self checkout while his ice cream melted. Seems like the whole system is built on us doing the work to find the loopholes, like how my friend copies his streaming passwords to five different people's phones. Maybe that's just how it is now, you gotta game the system a little to not get gamed yourself.
