I finally tried a warehouse club membership, and I'm split on it

Paid $65 for a Sam's Club membership in January, and the gas discount alone almost covered it. But I also walked out with a 5-pound bag of shredded cheese I'll never finish. Is the bulk gamble worth it for a single person, or am I just paying to store waste?
