Warning: That $50 "discount" smart plug pack from BrightTech was a nightmare
I grabbed a 4-pack of their wifi plugs for $50 thinking it was a steal, but every single one dropped connection within 5 minutes of setup. After spending 3 hours resetting my router, I learned you gotta check the reviews for connectivity complaints, not just the sale price - anyone else get burned by cheap smart home gear?

Wow, all four of them dropped connection within five minutes? That's not just bad luck, that's a whole different level of failure. I've bought my share of cheap tech, but I've never had a pack where every single unit was DOA like that. Three hours resetting the router just to get nothing back, I would have thrown the whole box in the trash by hour two.
