Can we talk about how a $12 tube of Alex Plus beat the $9 silicone caulk on my Denver house
I recaulked the tub surround in my 1950s Barnum house two weeks ago with paintable latex caulk instead of the plain silicone I used last time, and the latex went on cleaner and didn't stink up the bathroom. The silicone always peeled at the corners within a year while this stuff is still stuck tight. Anyone else made the switch, or am I going to regret this in 18 months?
