Update: found out Denver gets way less snow than I assumed and my whole winter plan was off
I grew up thinking Denver was buried all winter, so when we moved into our place off Colorado Blvd I budgeted $900 for a snow blower. Then last month a neighbor pointed me to the NOAA climate data showing the city averages around 56 inches a year, which is less than a lot of Midwest towns I've lived in, and most of it melts off in a day or two. So I skipped the blower and put the money into a good roof rake and some heat tape for the north-facing gutters instead. Funny how a number from a government site can flip a whole plan. Did any of you over-prepare for snow when you first got here?
