Hit my 50th coffee networking event yesterday and finally found my groove
Used to show up late and just hand out cards without talking much, felt like a waste of a Saturday morning. Yesterday at the Detroit Economic Club breakfast I actually had real conversations with three people who remembered me from last time. Any tips on how to follow up with contacts you meet at these bigger events without being annoying?

Honestly the follow up is the whole thing right? Most people crush the event part then just disappear. Send a quick email the next day not a week later. Keep it short like "Hey it was great talking about X topic at the Detroit breakfast." Reference something specific you talked about so they remember you. Don't ask for a favor just say you'd like to grab coffee or keep the conversation going. And tbh if they don't reply don't spam them just move on.

Wait, you actually remembered people from last time AND they remembered you? That's wild, most of the time I can't even remember what I had for breakfast that morning lol.
