Wasted $300 on a “commercial grade” floor mat that fell apart in 3 months

Honestly I used to think all anti fatigue mats were basically the same, but that beveled edge point makes so much sense. I always wondered why my mats curled up after a few months and just assumed it was cheap quality. Gonna check if the mats I've been buying even have drainage holes, never even thought about that.

Wish I never listened to my uncle about workbench height

Changed my mind on this one honestly. I always figured low was the way to go because it feels more stable for heavy hammering. But after watching a buddy struggle through a whole project with his back hunched over I started measuring my own bench height. Turns out I had mine way too low for the way I actually work. Now I'm at 42 inches and it feels completely different, like I can actually stand up straight and use my arms instead of my spine. Funny how something so simple can mess you up for months before you realize it.

The guy at the comic shop who refused to bag my dollar bin finds

They're not junk comics, they're "vintage paper collectibles with historical significance." Pretty sure that's the official term.

I finally cracked the secret to flaky pie crust after 3 failed attempts

Do you actually notice a difference in the crusts when you give them that long of a chill, or is it more about fitting it into a schedule? I always wondered if the extra time is just for convenience or if it really changes the texture that much. Because at that point, you could prep the dough the night before and just bake it the next day.
