My phone died right before a big meeting at the Detroit Athletic Club
I was at the DAC last month for a breakfast meetup, my phone was at 3% and I forgot my charger. The guy I needed to connect with walked in as my screen went black. I had to borrow a pen from the waiter and write his contact info on a napkin like it was 1995. It actually broke the ice and we joked about it for ten minutes. Anyone else have a tech fail turn into a good networking moment?

My laptop battery gave out during a video call once, right as I was sharing my screen. Had to finish the whole thing on my phone propped against a coffee mug. The client said it was the most relatable thing he'd seen all week and it made the whole meeting way less stiff. Sometimes looking like a mess is the best way to connect with people, lol.

Remember when my wireless mouse died in the middle of a big presentation. I had to awkwardly reach over and use the laptop trackpad for the next twenty slides. My boss called it a "performance art piece on human struggle" and it got more laughs than my actual talk. Felt like a total goof, but people kept bringing it up later in a good way. Guess looking a little dumb makes you seem more real.
